At Turner & Townsend, we strive to create a diverse and inclusive work environment where everyone can reach their full potential. We support and empower our team members to gain breadth and depth of experience across Transport and Utilities.

We encourage flexible working arrangements, balancing the needs of our clients and our team. Our colleagues will support you throughout your career journey, providing access to our wider network and expertise.

Our infrastructure team is in high demand, delivering successful Transport and Utility projects and programmes across the Southwest and Wales region. We are transforming performance for a green, inclusive, and productive world.

  • Manage and lead project teams or work streams, delivering results through others.
  • Be responsible for high-quality delivery on client assignments.
  • Build long-term trusted advisor relationships with clients.
  • Liaise with service line teams, account teams, and functional specialists.
  • Communicate effectively, focusing on efficient, collaborative, and quality delivery.

Previous experience working with UK Government and Local Authority organisations, particularly Flood Risk Asset Management Authorities, Environment Agency, and Water Companies, would be beneficial. Experience in project management and/or programme management, adding value from initial strategic planning to implementation, construction, and delivery in infrastructure projects and programmes, is essential.

You will engage and manage multiple stakeholders, manage cross-functional projects, and deliver projects within a technically complex environment, ensuring high levels of safety and environmental responsibility. Strong analytical and numerical skills, flexibility to rapidly understand complex problems, and the ability to shape these into workable solutions for delivery are required.

Develop and deliver high-quality output against stated business and technical project objectives, meeting tight deadlines safely. Strong planning and organising skills, including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously, are necessary.

Previous experience in procurement and managing NEC contracts would be highly advantageous, but not essential. Experience in managing contractors, consultants, and other advisors on civil engineering projects, as well as Engineering/Asset Management, is required. A driving licence is ideally required, as some driving may be necessary.

Project management certification (APM or PRINCE2) and a degree or HND qualification in an engineering or construction field are essential. CITB Site Management Safety Training Course would also be desirable. A full UK driving licence is required.
