Cloud Cost Management Specialist

Smart Sourcer is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Cost Management Specialist to drive the adoption of cloud cost management ownership and optimization across our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evolving our governance and processes to ensure efficient and effective cloud cost management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cloud cost management strategies to optimize cloud resource utilization and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, technology, and procurement, to ensure alignment and buy-in on cloud cost management initiatives.
  • Design and implement cloud governance and processes to ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Provide expert guidance on cloud cost management best practices and develop training programs to educate stakeholders.
  • Analyze cloud usage and cost data to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track cloud cost management metrics and key performance indicators.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in cloud cost management and financial operations within large, global enterprises.
  • Deep understanding of serverless public cloud cost management in Azure, including forecasting and optimization.
  • Ideal certification as a FinOps Practitioner or FinOps Professional, or currently undertaking studies to become certified.
