An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced individual to join our Acute Pain Services team as a Band 6 Quality Nurse. The successful candidate will be based at Queen's Hospital, Romford, and will be required to cover cross-site at King George Hospital, Ilford.

Main Duties:
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary team to deliver an expert inpatient specialist service for patients requiring acute pain assessment and interventions.
  • Provide advice, education, and support to staff, patients, families, and carers to ensure seamless specialist nursing services.
  • Develop individual competence and knowledge to support the provision and evaluation of high-quality clinical care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Lead Specialist Practitioner Nurse (SPN) in installing evidence-based standards and promoting a high quality of clinical care.
  • Contribute to formal and informal education of self and others to enhance clinical expertise.
  • Collaborate with the Pain Care Service (PCS) team to provide clinical expertise across departments and divisional boundaries.

    • RN qualified in acute care
    • Mentorship/teaching course Formal Professional development
  • Desirable:
    • Post Graduate course in acute care Teaching & assessing competence Variety of acute care experience
