About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team at SPAR Bowness, where you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring high-quality meat products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce meat for sale, including bone-out carcasses with excellent cutting standards
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations within the butchery department
  • Weigh, package, price, and display products
  • Manage records, budgets, and inventory
  • Greet and engage with customers, providing advice, answering questions, and accepting orders or payments
  • Control waste

Requirements

  • Be friendly, approachable, and comfortable working with the public
  • Be enthusiastic, committed, and self-motivated
  • Adept at adopting a 'can-do' attitude in challenging situations
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Thorough knowledge of HACCPS
  • Proven experience in a butchery environment
