Marie Curie Companion Volunteer Role

Marie Curie Companion is a professional service that relies on the dedication and expertise of our volunteers to provide one-to-one companionship and support to individuals with terminal illnesses and their families.

We're seeking an experienced volunteer administrator to assist in the efficient operation of our Companion service.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support within the Companion service, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Update computerised records to maintain accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Contribute to office duties such as mailings, filing, and inventory management.
  • Assist with photocopying tasks as needed.
  • Operate within relevant policies and guidelines, including health and safety, equal opportunities, confidentiality, and financial regulations.
Compensation Package:

This role is unpaid, but it offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of those affected by terminal illness. As an estimate, based on national averages for similar roles, you can expect to spend around 15-20 hours per week on this volunteer position, which translates to approximately £12,000-£16,000 per annum, depending on your location and other factors.
