Research Nurse Clinical Research Expert

We are seeking a highly motivated registered Mental Health nurse to join our Research & Innovation Service at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.
The postholder will have specialist knowledge in research and/or clinical practice enabling them to work independently, with previous experience as a clinical research nurse and/or demonstrable knowledge of Psychosis and Early Intervention services.
Main Duties- Work autonomously to assist in managing a caseload of clinical trial patients while being part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Support Early intervention teams with assessments of new service users.
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of research studies in various disease sites.
- Train and assess research staff as competent in line with the research competencies framework.
- Identify suitable patients for entry into clinical studies by attending clinics and relevant Multi-disciplinary Team meetings.
- Act as a resource and role model for all aspects of research clinical practice to optimise patient care.
- Ensure the environment is suitable for patient care and research processes, recognising the importance of privacy, dignity, and diversity.

About You- You must be a Registered Nurse – Current registration with NMC: Mental Health.
- You should have demonstrable knowledge of Psychosis and Early Intervention services.
- You should have evidence of continued professional development.
- You should have specialist knowledge of research legislation and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- You should have knowledge of clinical and Research Terminology.
- You should have experience of assessment in Mental health - including risk management.
- You should have experience of undertaking clinical research and/or extensive clinical experience in a specific area.
- You should be able to work in the community.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £40,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
