Job Description:
This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning to a range of students, ensuring employability and employer engagement activities are embedded into the programmes. You will also support community/personal enrichment activities (including trips related to learning) and prepare schemes of learning, lesson plans, assignment schedules, and learning materials for curriculum delivery. As a personal tutor to students, you will provide guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver excellent quality teaching and learning to a range of students
  • Ensure that employability and employer engagement activities are embedded into the programmes
  • Support community/personal enrichment activities (including trips related to learning)
  • Preparation of schemes of learning, lesson plans, assignment schedules, learning materials for curriculum delivery

Requirements:
  • NVQ level 2 or Craft certificate in Carpentry & Joinery
  • Maths and English at Level 2 equivalent or willing to work towards
  • 1st fix, 2nd fix and cut roof/trusses
  • 5 years minimum industry experience in Carpentry and Joinery

Salary and Benefits:
A competitive salary of £28,372 - £39,198 per annum plus up to £3,000 Golden Hello is offered, along with benefits such as 39.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays, up to 4 days leave during the Christmas closure period, and free parking at all of our college sites (where spaces are available).
