Job Description

The Actuarial Data Scientist - Longevity Modelling Expert role sits within the Methodology & Assumptions team, responsible for developing mortality bases for retirement products and monitoring longevity risk.

To achieve this, the team develops cutting-edge models of and approaches to longevity risk. This experienced colleague-level position is aimed at nearly/newly qualified actuaries or data scientists with a strong background in actuarial pricing or longevity modelling.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct longevity experience analysis, including technical investigations and research.
  2. Lead longevity model development and rating factor analysis using data science techniques.
  3. Contribute to regular research on relevant longevity topics, presenting findings to the team.
  4. Demonstrate a positive risk and control culture by identifying, assessing, monitoring, and managing risks and controls.
  5. Identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency of output.
  6. Manage risks using expert judgment, know-how, and experience.
