Store Inventory Manager

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a stores department and personnel in the marine or engineering sector. This role is responsible for leading a small team providing key support to refit, repair, and new build functions for Berthon, The Shipyard.
Key Responsibilities:- Inventory Management: Effective management of a wide-ranging inventory to ensure the efficient support of new construction, refit, and repair operations.
- Materials Distribution: Implement and manage materials distribution processes in conjunction with Project Managers and Buyers to fully integrate materials supply with operations.
- Staff Management: Manage staff and organize stores facilities to ensure counter service, component picking, storage, and distribution are meeting requirements.
- Quality Control: To manage receipt of materials, ensuring compliance with quality requirements and managing returns of non-compliant items.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO45001, and ISO14001 management systems within your area of responsibility.
- Lifting and Handling: Manage provision of lifting and handling facilities for heavy items.
- Security: Manage security of materials and workshop facilities.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement and manage an effective program of continuous improvement in relation to all aspects of inventory.
- Forklift Operation: Use of Forklift truck to unload deliveries.
