Job Description

Brightsmith | B Corp™ is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team as we prepare for our Series B funding round. This is a crucial role that will directly support our legal needs as we navigate exciting growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and Negotiate Commercial Contracts: Develop and negotiate commercial contracts that align with our business objectives.
  • Provide Legal Guidance: Offer expert legal advice on fundraising initiatives and deal structuring to ensure compliance and success.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Commercial, Business Operations, and Engineering teams to drive business growth and success.
  • Engage with External Legal Firms: Collaborate with external legal firms as necessary, while maintaining oversight on all legal matters in-house.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 Years of Legal Experience: Proven experience in commercial law, preferably within a commercial environment.
  • Strong Background in Commercial Contracts and Fundraising: Demonstrated expertise in commercial contracts and fundraising, with a strong understanding of intellectual property (IP) and its application.
  • Proven Ability to Work Collaboratively: Proven ability to work collaboratively across various teams, with a keen commercial mindset and a passion for supporting business growth.
