Dawsongroup material handling, a leading provider of material handling equipment, is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Forklift Service Engineer to join our progressive team in the Greater London area.
As a Field Forklift Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance, repair, and servicing of a variety of forklifts. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting diagnostic assessments and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in forklifts at client locations.
- Performing routine maintenance checks and inspections to ensure forklifts are operating at peak efficiency.
- Executing repairs and replacements of faulty components and parts on-site.
- Collaborating closely with clients to understand and address specific forklift service requirements.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date service records.
- Offering technical assistance and guidance to clients on forklift operation and maintenance best practices.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience working within the Automotive or Forklift industry in a similar role.
- Demonstrate good product knowledge gained from having experience of working on all aspects of forklift trucks, IC Engines, brake systems, hydraulics, and electrics.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a field service capacity.
- A valid driver's license.
