About the Role

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Associate to join our dynamic team in the Oncology and Haematology day case units. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with qualified nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing patients for treatment, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy, under the supervision of a qualified nurse or above.
  • Work with the Haematology stem cell team to support patients undergoing stem cell transplants.
  • Develop further clinical skills in cannulation, venesections, and administration of supportive medications.
  • Ensure good stock control methods, excellent infection control, and cleanliness of the department to improve patient experience and safety.

Working Pattern

The successful candidate will work a regular pattern of hours, with some flexibility to accommodate weekend working when required. We offer a supportive and inclusive work environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
