Job Title: Technical Garment Lead
We are a leading premium high-street womenswear brand, House of CB, focusing on excellent quality garments with fits that accentuate the female form. Our Product Development team is looking for an experienced Senior Product Developer and Technologist to work alongside our designers, ensuring collections are realistic and achievable from the initial sketching stage. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in garment construction, pattern cutting techniques, and fabric knowledge.

About the Role
  • Liaise with all teams to ensure they follow the critical path.
  • Work with designers to ensure collections are realistic and achievable at sketching stage.
  • Handle fabrics to ensure appropriateness for chosen design, considering MOQ and lead times.
  • Create tech packs with informed construction knowledge.
  • Determine finishes, construction, and suitable hardware for each piece.
  • Proofread tech pack to address visible issues and errors.
  • Provide clear overview of each collection for smooth process execution.
  • Improve garment quality to a higher level.
  • Work with computer system to liaise with offshore factories on technical specs.
  • Lead fit meeting for overseen collections.
  • Communicate fit comments to sampling teams through text, pictures, and diagrams.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with the Product Development team, including designers, to ensure that all aspects of the garment development process run smoothly and efficiently. This includes creating tech packs, determining finishes and hardware, and proofreading tech packs for accuracy. Additionally, the candidate will need to improve garment quality to a higher level and communicate fit comments to the sampling team effectively. Experience in garment construction, pattern cutting techniques, and fabric knowledge is essential for this role.

  • Comfortable working to a strict schedule and setting schedules for different teams.
  • Problem solving abilities to address issues before they reach sampling.
  • Able to measure garment accurately.

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum
