Wildlife Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced animal care professional to join our team at the West Midlands Safari Park in Worcestershire. As a Wildlife Care Specialist, you will be responsible for the husbandry of our Asian elephant herd, including feeding, cleaning, health monitoring, and enclosure maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and experience working with large mammals. You will also need to possess a full, valid driver's license as driving company vehicles is a requirement of this role.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, you will need to be flexible and able to work weekends, bank holidays, and some evenings during special events throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Husbandry of Asian elephants
  • Feeding, cleaning, and health monitoring
  • Enclosure maintenance

Requirements:

  • Degree in Animal Science or related field
  • Experience working with large mammals
  • Full, valid driver's license

The salary for this position is £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
