We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Care Professional to join our team at CareTech Group. As a Team Lead - Care Services, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to children and young people in our residential childcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a supervisory role for Residential Child Care Practitioners, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills, and ability to provide effective care for children and young people.
- Undertake on-call responsibilities, contributing to assessments and care plan arrangements, and participating in reviews and meetings with other professionals.
- Deputise in the absence of the house manager where necessary, safeguarding and promoting the welfare and wellbeing of children and young people.
- Adhere to professional standards and registration requirements, ensuring compliance with childcare related legislation, health and social care standards, and national guidelines.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Residential Child Care Practitioner, with a strong understanding of childcare theory and interventions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and colleagues.
- HNC Social Care and SVQ 3 qualifications, with the ability to work towards completion of SVQ 4.
- A sound understanding of childcare related legislation, health and social care standards, and national guidelines.
