Category Manager (Broadband)
Currys is seeking a skilled Category Manager to lead our Broadband team, driving growth and profitability through strategic partnerships and commercial agreements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent negotiation and relationship management skills, and a proven track record in trading and commercial deal negotiation. They will be responsible for managing end-to-end relationships with leading UK fixed Broadband providers, maximizing profitability and driving differentiation.
The Category Manager will work closely with the Multiplay Team, Retail, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to achieve business objectives. They will develop and execute the category plan, manage trading rhythms, and analyze sales and margin data to deliver the best range and proposition for customers while driving profit objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with Broadband providers to drive growth and profitability
• Negotiate commercial agreements and manage trading relationships to maximize profitability
• Analyze sales and margin data to inform category plan development and trading rhythms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
• Develop and execute the category plan to drive growth and profitability
• Manage and optimize trading rhythms to deliver the best range and proposition for customers
• Identify and capitalize on new revenue opportunities and growth initiatives
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and external partners
• Provide commercial and analytical support to the Multiplay Team and broader business
Requirements:
• Degree-level education or equivalent
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
• Commercial acumen and financial awareness
• Proven trading experience with management of teams to deliver results
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners with compelling written and oral communications
• Experience of telco network commercial models a plus
