Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Apprentice)

We are seeking a motivated and engaging individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant (Apprentice). This role involves providing support for pupils with specific needs, enabling them to fully participate in activities and make strong progress in various subjects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with their educational and social development, both individually and in groups
  • Provide support for students inside and outside the classroom to ensure their full participation
  • Assist teachers with maintaining student records and providing a comprehensive support service
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with students, treating them with respect and consideration
  • Deliver a personalized curriculum for each pupil's learning, with a focus on academic and personal progress
Apprenticeship Details:
  • Annual wage: £11,805 per annum (£13,725 full-time equivalent)
  • Working weeks: Monday to Friday, term time, plus one week of inset
  • Total hours per week: 37 (including 20% training element)
  • Apprenticeship duration: 18 months approx.
  • Anticipated start date: October 2024
  • Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level Apprenticeship (Level 3)
  • Apprenticeship standard: Teaching Assistant
Requirements:
  • GCSEs A* - C in Maths and English (desirable)
