Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Expert to join our team. As a key member, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing data governance policies, standards, and procedures. Your expertise will help mitigate data risk while considering the risk appetite of both business stakeholders and customers.

The successful candidate will establish and maintain a robust data governance framework, including roles, responsibilities, processes, and escalation procedures. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define, adopt, and enforce data quality standards, ensuring completeness, accuracy, integrity, and timeliness.

Your tooling and performance metrics will support the delivery of the data governance function, raising relevant risks through governance bodies. Additionally, you will monitor and evaluate data usage and access controls to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.

As a Data Governance Expert, you will advise and influence business and technology stakeholders on controls to mitigate data risks. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a good understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain a data governance framework, including roles, responsibilities, processes, and escalation procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define, adopt, and enforce data quality standards.
  • Implement tooling and performance metrics to support the data governance function.
  • Monitor and evaluate data usage and access controls for regulatory compliance.

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is around £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
