Regional Sales and Margin Director

Abco Kovex is expanding its presence in the field-based sales sector. To support this growth, we are seeking a skilled Area Sales Manager to join our team in Northern Ireland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving and exceeding regional sales and margin budgets while managing customer relationships in the assigned geographical area.
The key responsibilities for this role include:
Financial Performance
- Develop and implement business plans for customer portfolios to achieve annual sales and margin targets in collaboration with the Sales Director.
- Ensure the successful execution of business plans and monitor progress regularly.
- Work closely with the Credit Control team to ensure customers comply with the terms and conditions of trading.
Sales and Business Development
- Manage a portfolio of customers and provide field support for team members with larger accounts.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer portfolio and increase margin through prospecting, range extensions, and supplier partnerships.
- Monitor sales performance and activity levels, producing regular reports to highlight key result areas.
- Maintain accurate records of clients and sales activities, providing reports to the management team as required.
Customer Service and Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to achieve agreed financial targets.
- Regularly interact with customers to ensure their needs are met, providing quotes and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Manage price files and communicate price increases to customers, ensuring the retention of business.
Health and Safety
- Consider EHS implications when assessing potential sales opportunities for operational staff.
- Maintain company-provided vehicles in a roadworthy condition, ensuring they reflect positively on the company image.
- Adhere to safe working practices and follow identified safety protocols.
Applicants should possess field sales experience, a proven track record of business growth, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders are also essential for this role.
