Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Palliative Nurse Specialist to join our team in Marie Curie UK. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with terminally ill patients and their carers, providing expert care and support in the comfort of their own homes.

About the Role

As a Senior Palliative Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with complex needs. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic support, addressing physical, emotional, and social needs. Your expertise will enable patients to live life to the fullest, surrounded by loved ones and receiving vital emotional support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs

  • Promote continuity of care through effective communication and documentation
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice development
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • RN Registration Level 1
  • Experience working in palliative care or a related field
  • Excellent clinical skills, including pain management and symptom control
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
