Position 1 Recruitment is recruiting a Process Equipment Technician to join our client's team in Bury St Edmunds. This permanent, full-time role comes with a competitive salary of £54,000 per annum and a range of benefits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out maintenance work on machinery and equipment, including packaging, milling, and product handling equipment, as well as site infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting and practical fault finding on plant, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Installation and commissioning of new plant or modifications as required.
  • Carrying out planned inspection routes on process plant and proactive maintenance.
  • Reporting all engineering activities in the appropriate format into a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

We are looking for someone with a strong background in Engineering, preferably with an ONC/HNC qualification and a recognised apprenticeship. Experience working in a lean operating environment, preferably FMCG, is advantageous.
