Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting professional to lead the UK & Ireland's Lessee and Lessor system as a key strategic advisor. This role will drive business efficiencies and data quality in accordance with accounting standards and best practice.

The successful applicant will be a Qualified Accountant (ICAEW/ACCA/ICAS) with in-depth knowledge and technical expertise in Finance & Accounting, including process improvement, IT system implementation, and common real estate practices.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to thrive in an agile, fast-paced business, and think with a growth mindset. They will be a continuous learner, bringing external insight and knowledge of best practice to augment local and global business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive alignment, achievement, and delivery of GBS goals with McDonald's global and local market objectives.
  • Engage and collaborate with stakeholders on operational performance metrics and measures.
  • Help shape and account for key strategies driving incremental, long-term sales growth and profitability.
  • Lead the development and implementation of efficient and effective internal controls, Finance & Accounting practices.
  • Establish strategies to identify process deficiencies, enable improvements, and monitor compliance.
  • Act as a mentor and coach, supporting development and creating an inclusive environment.
  • Support in the design and implementation of global finance and transformation projects.
Requirements

The successful applicant will have:

  • Able to demonstrate process improvement against a backdrop of IT system implementation.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Cloud/Collaboration technologies.
  • Knowledge of common real estate practices.
