About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Implementation Consultant to join our team at Capita Pensions Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our pension solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gathering and interpreting client requirements and processes, and translating these into system solutions
  • Managing system configuration activities and quality
  • Delivering calculation automation
  • Leading client implementation projects
  • Facilitating internal and external system training, and providing appropriate documentation
  • Troubleshooting and resolving client queries and issues
  • Mentoring and coaching Implementation Analysts
  • Conducting system configuration and testing quality control activities
  • Supporting the technical development of our technology platforms through participation in analysis and design, and specification production for new and/or enhanced developments
  • Undertaking system configuration and checking
  • Undertaking data analysis activities and checking
  • Undertaking project management activities, including risk and issue identification and mitigation

Requirements:

  • Able to lead on projects and experience of managing/mentoring a team
  • UK Pension background: detailed understanding and ability to explain the difference between DB, DC, CARE, and Annuities, how they are administered, and a full understanding of system and process implications
  • Able to explain pension member records and their setup, the relationships between members, Trustees, schemes, actuaries, funds, and investments, different types of Pension Schemes, different types of member status, and applicable calculations for each
  • Demonstrate knowledge of system setup and use of parameters
  • Able to demonstrate capability and knowledge of pension/employee benefit technology platforms
  • Strong MS Excel skills, able to draft an automated Excel calculator with basic formula; ability to use filters, sorting, pivot tables (rows, columns, grouping, filters, and totalling), lookups, control totals, IF, and nested IF statements, and formatting of cells to specific guidelines
  • Good MS Access
  • Ability to understand requirements and able to produce specifications
