About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Director of People, Organisational Development and Inclusion to join our team at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR and organisational development, with experience of leading large programmes of transformational change. They will be a strategic thinker, with excellent communication and influencing skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality people services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the People Directorate, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of services.
  • Lead and manage large programmes of transformational change, working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement the Trust's People Strategy, in collaboration with the senior leadership team.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HR and organisational development matters, including workforce planning, equality, diversity and inclusion, and organisational development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including staff, staff representatives, system partners, and professional associations.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Master's Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant area.
  • Full membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or equivalent.
  • Significant experience at a senior level within a role of a similar nature, working in a complex organisation.
  • Proven track record of strong leadership at a senior level, both within the HR & OD brief and more broadly as a corporate leader.
  • Experience of leading large programmes of transformational change, including workforce planning, equality, diversity and inclusion, and organisational development.
