Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our team in Cranfield. As a key member of our automotive design and development team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of vehicle interior trim components.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement cost reduction strategies for interior trim components.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design and development meet quality and regulatory requirements.
  3. Manage and coordinate with suppliers to develop efficient and cost-effective solutions.
  4. Provide technical solutions for market concerns and development.
  5. Ensure on-time design note release and delivery.
Requirements:
  1. Qualification in design or engineering.
  2. Previous experience in automotive design and development.
  3. Strong cost breakdown analysis and time management skills.
  4. Knowledge of interior cabin parts and manufacturing processes.
  5. Valid driving license and ability to travel globally.
  6. CAD interrogation skills.
  7. Strong communication and leadership skills.
Working Hours and Pay:

Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. Hourly rate: £27.00 - £29.00.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in interior trim design and cost management to take on a leadership role in a dynamic automotive project.
