Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team in Basingstoke. As a Key Worker, you will be responsible for leading a room and creating a nurturing environment for children. Your expertise in assessments, child development, and team collaboration will be essential in providing high-quality care and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a room as a Key Worker, guiding daily adventures and being a hero in the playroom.
  • Create fun and educational activities that engage children's senses and spark their curiosity.
  • Keep a record of children's progress, tracking milestones and celebrating achievements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with parents and carers, ensuring seamless partnerships between home and nursery.
  • Support team members, collaborating on new ideas and lending a helping hand.
  • Create a happy and stable environment, considering cultural backgrounds and medical needs.
  • Confidently handle concerns related to children or parents, adhering to confidentiality requirements.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
Requirements
  • Expertise in assessments, support plans, and risk assessments.
  • Deep understanding of child development, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs.
  • Physical fitness to lift and handle children and equipment safely.
  • Team player with a calm and caring nature.
  • Knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
