About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer to join our Technical/Process Safety team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading/supporting a range of projects, developing junior engineers, and driving your own technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of projects with a focus on developing into the Technical Lead, ensuring technical excellence and building on our company's tradition.
  • Conduct safety scopes, including consequence analysis, QRA, Formal Safety Assessments, Safety Case/COMAH, for major hazard industries.
  • Author technical reports and provide technical guidance and mentoring support to junior engineers.
  • Prepare proposals, including cost estimations, for new work scopes and lead junior engineers on projects.
  • Ensure studies and projects are delivered in compliance with agreed scope, budgets, and schedules.
  • Engage directly with clients and develop strong relationships with existing and future clients.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or related subject.
  • Chartered with a relevant institution.
  • Proven experience in Process/Technical Safety, preferably in the Energy industry.
  • Experience in risk and safety management, including QRA and consequence analysis.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and industry standards, including COMAH and Safety Case Regulations.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports to a high standard and check the work of others.
  • Excellent time-management skills with proven ability to work to deadlines.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, showing an understanding of commercial challenges relevant to a consultancy business.
