Acute Care Navigator for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Acute Care Navigator to join our team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a liaison, strategic, and educational role within the acute hospital setting.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of government policies and legislation relating to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their health needs. Experience working in a hospital setting and teaching skills would be advantageous.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £50,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the Job- To develop pathways and protocols to ensure equity of access for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities within the acute hospital setting.
- To work directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their family carers, paid carers, other stakeholders, and staff within the NUH Trust.
- To advocate for the implementation of national policy and guidance in relation to the health needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The successful candidate will be employed by Nottinghamshire Healthcare and will be based at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham.
