Senior Planner Role

Murphy is seeking a Senior Planner to lead the planning function on allocated projects, ensuring effective planning, scheduling, and monitoring.

As a Senior Planner, you will:

  • Assimilate information and summarize it for communication to others.
  • Prepare a resourced programme, reviewing outcomes for conformance with expectations and requirements.
  • Contribute to the risk register and undertake programme risk analysis.
  • Prepare visual material in support of planned methods.
  • Manage project documentation in an orderly fashion.
  • Provide a link between parties regarding planning community information.
  • Define methods and establish outputs, consulting with the estimator and other team members.
  • Liaise with the design engineer to establish a design brief for temporary works.
  • Provide the estimator with a justified schedule of temporary works and indirect cost items.
  • Attend bid review and handover meetings to contribute a clear view of the work scope and intentions.
  • Advise the project team of required feedback reports and support.

Requirements

  • Experience in Civil Engineering and/or Construction projects.
  • Experience working in Oil & Gas projects.
  • Use of planning software (P6, Asta, TILOS, QSRA).
  • Flexibility to travel to projects with potential overnight stays.
  • Active experience of working with planning techniques in tendering and contract delivery.
  • Clear understanding of commercial and contractual interfaces with the planning function.
  • Computer literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
