About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Partnership Manager to join our team at SSE PLC. As a key member of our Procurement & Commercial department, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining productive relationships with our IT key suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective relationship management strategies to drive business value and improve supplier performance.
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to our IT senior leadership teams and senior directors of relevant business units.
  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers across services, software/SaaS, and telco/hardware categories, with a value of £50-100m per annum.
  • Lead the negotiation of complex IT and telco contracts, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and procurement manual.
  • Collaborate with our IT and procurement teams to identify key suppliers and develop strategic relationships.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT and/or telco market and supply chain, including contract negotiation and management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior management and directors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex supplier and internal customer relationship environments.
  • Experience in leading complex technology commercial negotiations and operating with a strategic/long-term perspective.
