Exciting Opportunity in Automotive Retail

A leading commercial vehicle maintenance company is seeking a skilled Estimates Controller to join their team in Wednesbury. This is a challenging and fast-paced role that requires a confident communicator and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and source obscure parts and equipment using various resources, including Google and direct communication with suppliers.
  2. Collect and evaluate data to estimate parts, equipment, and labor for follow-up repairs.
  3. Prepare and send quotes to customers, respond to queries, and handle authorizations.
  4. Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams.
  5. Provide excellent customer service and respond to phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  6. Assess repair requirements quickly and accurately.
  7. Update customers and colleagues on progress and next steps.
  8. Verify parts required for ongoing events and update status accordingly.
  9. Make clear notes on job sheets for parts colleagues to order and ship correct parts.
  10. Work with engineers to develop a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  11. Manage email inboxes efficiently and address issues raised.
  12. Report incidents to line managers.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Previous experience in an Estimator role in the commercial vehicle or automotive industry (desirable).
