We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic tutors to join our team at the Vale of Glamorgan Council. As a Sessional Adult Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning experiences to adults in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and interactive learning sessions to adults in a range of subjects, including Digital Skills, Essential Skills, and Skills for the Workplace.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the curriculum and assessment requirements for each subject area.
- Assess and provide feedback to learners on their progress and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver learning programs that meet the needs of adult learners.
- Contribute to the development of new learning programs and initiatives.
- A good level of education and excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- A high level of knowledge and experience in your subject area.
- A relevant teaching qualification or currently completing a teaching qualification.
- Experience of teaching or training adults is desirable.
- A relevant Practitioners Qualification is desirable for applicants who wish to teach ESOL or Essential Skills.
- Understanding of assessment or experience of delivering accredited programs.
- Confidence in delivering learning using digital technology.
- Ability to deliver hybrid learning (face-to-face and online) where relevant, or be willing to undertake further training.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver innovative and creative learning that engages and challenges learners.
- Understanding of the needs of adult learners and empathy for vulnerable learners.
- Willingness to undertake further training as required.
