Job Title: Air and Ocean Export Coordinator

At ALS Recruiting Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Air and Ocean Export Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing air freight accounts from start to finish, developing excellent customer relationships, and delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all bookings from start to finish for allocated customers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with allocated customers, providing proactive communication and updates on shipment status.
  • Process export bookings, issue booking instructions to overseas offices, and manage UK Customs Clearance.
  • Proactively inform customers on shipment status, exceptions, and provide intermediate updates on incident solutions.
  • Manage any other site involved in a shipment, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
  • Develop processes and tools to support customer interface and communications, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Take and handle customer inquiries, register customer complaints, and drive solutions to customer complaints.
  • Ensure correct on-time billing to customers and accruals, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Have full responsibility for end-to-end file handling, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in air freight forwarding, with export experience advantageous.
  • Instinctive customer service ethic, with a 'get the job done' attitude.
  • Thoroughly embedded knowledge of start-to-finish air freight processes, results-driven, and good attention to detail.
  • Good written and spoken English, with good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with customers.
  • Able to prioritize, perform under pressure, and work using own initiative.

Package:

  • Salary range: k + annual bonus.
  • Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays.
