About the Role:

Premier Production Ltd. is a leading technical production company seeking a seasoned Technical Project Director to lead our project management team and oversee the technical delivery of all projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of senior technical project management experience in the live events industry, preferably within a technical production company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Technical Project Managers to ensure crew and equipment are effectively allocated for each project.
  • Oversee the complete technical lifecycle of projects, from initial planning to execution, ensuring all technical requirements are fulfilled.
  • Support Project Managers with monitoring the availability of equipment and resources, addressing any shortages or delays by coordinating with suppliers, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Ensure financial efficiency of projects by monitoring costs and profit margins.
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial efficiency while upholding high service delivery standards.
  • Resolve on-site issues related to technical setups, equipment, or logistics, making immediate decisions to keep projects on schedule.
  • Project Management of larger projects as necessary, including quoting, budgeting, client liaison, and on-site management.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record of senior technical project management experience in the live events industry.
  • Full understanding of equipment and technical setups for live events, including audio, lighting, staging, screen, and special effects.
  • Experience with budgeting and negotiating all scales of projects.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
