We are recruiting for 2x Machine Operatives to join our production team in a day shift role near Thirsk. As a machine operator, your starting salary will be £15,970 per annum.

Job Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a production operative, working on a day shift pattern. Your key responsibilities will include operating machinery to weigh, mix, and pack ingredients, blending powders and oil using semi-automated/automated equipment, and packing pre-blended powders into bags, boxes, or sacks (up to 25kg) as required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate machinery to weigh, mix, and pack ingredients.
  2. Blend powders and oil using semi-automated/automated equipment.
  3. Pack pre-blended powders into bags, boxes, or sacks (up to 25kg) as required.
  4. Achieve KPIs and personal competencies.
  5. Update and maintain documentation and records.
  6. Work as a team to produce and execute the weekly production plan.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Previous production experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Practical problem-solving skills.
  • HACCP/good hygiene and housekeeping.
  • Team working and collaboration skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • A results-focused mentality.
Shift Pattern

As a machine operator, you will be required to work an 8-hour and 15-minute shift pattern, including a 30-minute unpaid break. The shift pattern is as follows:

  • Week 1: 06:00 to 14:15 (Morning shift)
  • Week 2: 14:00 to 22:15 (Afternoon shift)
  • Week 3: 22:00 to 06:15 (Night shift)
