As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching team in delivering engaging and well-structured lessons, creating an inclusive and positive classroom environment, and providing tailored support to students with a range of learning needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the teaching team in delivering high-quality educational programs and activities.
  • Support the creation of a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Implement evidence-based teaching strategies and techniques to meet the varying learning styles and needs of students.
  • Aid in classroom management to maintain a productive and organized learning space.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and prepare educational materials, resources, and assessments.
  • Support students during activities, assignments, and assessments, and provide feedback and guidance as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents/guardians, and other staff members to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Keep accurate records and documentation as required.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in a primary school setting.
  • Experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Understanding of the primary school curriculum and effective teaching methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a dedication to supporting students' learning and well-being.
  • Ability to adapt and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
  • Valid DBS check.
