About the Role- Lead the preparation and control of production and manufacturing accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and regular group reports, including cash reporting and quarterly statutory consolidation, to provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with site teams and the shared service department to review and understand monthly costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Visit job sites periodically to ensure accurate reporting and provide technical guidance to site teams.
- Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and prepare year-end accounts and group consolidation (IFRS), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with audit, tax, and statutory returns, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on UK/international GAAP, supporting the development of financial policies and procedures.
- Support the Chief Financial Officer in preparing plans and forecasts, contributing to the company's strategic decision-making process.
- A confident and qualified finance professional with experience in manufacturing, preferably with a strong background in financial planning and analysis.
- Strong costings experience and business partnering skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to take a lead in the department and work independently, with a high level of autonomy and decision-making authority.
