About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Lead Planning and Control Specialist to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. As a key member of our Strategic Project Management team, you will be responsible for leading the Planning Monitoring & Control processes on a full project lifecycle.

This role is vital for creating business continuity and resilience plans, ensuring that BAE's infrastructure systems effectively support the timely, quality, cost-effective, and safe delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing advanced project reporting & scheduling
  • Undertaking advanced problem solving typically based on previous experience
  • Leading the Planning Monitoring & Control processes on a full project lifecycle to ensure that over time, the needs of customers/users continue to be met and that financial and other benefits are achieved
  • Consolidating expertise from multiple sources, including third party experts, to provide coherent advice to further organisational objectives
  • Supporting and promoting the development and sharing of specialist knowledge within the organisation
What You'll Need
  • APM Qualification or equivalent by experience
  • Demonstratable working experience within a project planning environment
  • Ability to support the implementation of appropriate PM&C approaches
  • Ability to problem solve in both established and new business environments
  • Experience in Sap and/or P6 would be advantageous
