About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Trevor Gibbens Unit at Maidstone within the Forensic directorate.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide occupational therapy services to patients with mental health conditions and autism, adhering to the current Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct of Occupational Therapists and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics and Standards of Proficiency for Occupational Therapists.
  • To assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate therapeutic interventions for patients, taking into account their individual needs and preferences.
  • To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and delivery of a coordinated service.
  • To maintain professional registration and adhere to KMPT's policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • To ensure that the Trust's values are upheld in occupational therapy practice.
Person Specification
  • Relevant qualifications and experience of working with patients with autism and/or mental health conditions.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience of working within the NHS and managing a caseload.
