Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our client's team as a Band 6 Neuro Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will have a strong background in neuro-OT and experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Rotation Involvement:
    • Neuro Outliers
    • Hyperacute Stroke
    • Stroke Rehabilitation
    • RHRU (Regional Neuro Rehab Unit)
    • Stroke Early Supported Discharge Team - South East London
  • Service Commitment:
    • Participate in 7-day services with scheduled rest days.
  • Patient Care:
    • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to stroke patients across different stages of their recovery.
    • Utilize therapy adjuncts relevant to neuro-OT, including wheelchair prescription and cognitive assessments.
  • Development and Training:
    • Engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Qualifications:
    • Essential:
      • Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT)
      • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration
    • Desirable:
      • Postgraduate courses specific to neurology
      • Membership in Specialist Society of Neuro-Physiotherapists
    • Experience:
      • Essential:
        • Minimum of 2 years' experience at Band 5 level, including neuro-OT experience
        • NHS experience
      • Desirable:
        • Experience with therapy adjuncts for neuro-OT
        • Experience in clinical audit
        • Experience in taking students or teaching roles
      • Skills:
        • Essential:
          • High standard of communication within MDT settings
          • Evidence of clinical reasoning and effective treatment planning
