Job Title: Senior Development Management Officer

About the Role:
The North Yorkshire Council is seeking an experienced Senior Development Management Officer to join our Planning Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for planning and a strong understanding of development management principles.

Responsibilities:
  • Undertake all aspects of development management, achieving quality planning decisions in a timely manner.
  • Manage a caseload of pre-application enquiries, applications for planning permission, and appeals submitted under the Town and Country Planning Acts.
  • Provide expert advice on planning matters.
  • Represent the service at Planning Committee meetings and other relevant groups.

Requirements:
  • Degree, Post-Graduate or Masters in Planning or related subject.
  • Excellent knowledge of planning legislation and regulations.
