We understand that individuals have varying priorities, which is why we are committed to supporting you. Embracing flexible and remote work is integral to our culture. Feel free to discuss your ideal working conditions with us - whether it’s reduced hours or additional leave during school holidays. If you are returning from a career hiatus, inquire about how we can assist you in reintegrating into the workforce.
As a Project Management Consultant in the 'Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology' (ADS&T) sector, you will be an integral part of our Programme Delivery Practice. In this capacity, you will empower organizations to maximize the advantages of digital transformation and innovative operations. You will engage directly with clients, identifying, shaping, and enhancing delivery capabilities. You will be encouraged to lead your own work packages or Agile delivery teams across various markets.
Your Role:
You will possess the ability to work autonomously or manage high-performing, technical, multi-disciplinary teams. Your responsibility will be to deliver products or outcomes on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards, often utilizing agile methodologies to fulfill our clients' needs. Your approach will be people-centric, aiming to cultivate and nurture partnership-level relationships, ensuring that clients remain at the heart of our operations and fostering a positive impact through genuine change.
With a strong emphasis on people, you will be expected to embrace our values and ways of working, committing to the following principles:
- Teamwork - A passion for collaborating and supporting colleagues.
- Communication - High emotional intelligence, effective listening and questioning skills, with clear verbal and written communication abilities.
- Flexibility - Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks, from advising clients on improving delivery to actively assisting in the execution of key projects.
- Customer Focus - A commitment to delivering exceptional satisfaction to both external and internal clients.
- Achievement - A drive to exceed client expectations, working towards goals and overcoming challenges with energy and determination.
- Initiative - The capability to analyze data and situations, breaking down work into essential tasks and activities to uncover solutions.
- Development - A commitment to continuous personal and professional growth.
- Collegiate - Balancing client demands while contributing to the development of the Programme Delivery Practice and the broader community.
- Ethics and Integrity - Upholding high professional standards at all times.
- Safety - Contributing to our focus on maintaining high safety standards in the workplace.
We welcome candidates with robust project management experience or transferable skills from other fields. As a successful applicant, you will demonstrate the following skills or attributes:
- Experience in delivering a variety of technical projects within collaborative settings.
- Project Management - Proficiency in managing all aspects of project delivery, including forecasting, change management, and risk management, with a strong emphasis on financial acumen.
- Familiarity with structured and agile methodologies (e.g., APMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, MSP, DSDM, Scrum).
- Client Engagement - The ability to instill confidence in our project delivery through professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Problem Solving - The skill to collaboratively identify issues and develop solutions with clients, effectively communicating with key stakeholders.
- Commercial Awareness - Experience in contract management, supplier management, or providing commercial advice to clients.
- Experience in the UK Defence & Security sector is advantageous.
