Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation/Manual Tester to join our team at Continental. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing equipment and building projects, coordinating with Plant Engineering, and providing expert knowledge on automation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning and Execution

Plan and pursue equipment and building projects, including overhauls, upgrades, re-designs, and installations.

Coordination and Collaboration

Coordinate with Plant Engineering on schedules for labor, materials, downtime requirements, and estimates of downtime length for individual projects.

Standardization and Optimization

Work with Plant Engineering Staff to standardize components to equipment types by make, model, and distributor, and lower vendor base.

Documentation and Support

Compose and maintain equipment files, support documents, machine control media/programs, BOMs, drawings, manuals, and updates to the CMM database.

Maintenance and Engineering Support

Perform various duties involving machine support and engineering design work.

Training and Development

Compose instructions, BOMs, and wire schedules needed by Maintenance personnel for upgrades, installations, and engineering changes, and provide training, mentoring, and instruction to maintenance personnel and junior Automation Technicians.

Requirements
  1. Education

Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Experience

5 years of Automation experience.

Travel and Relocation

Limited travel within the US is required, and relocation is not offered for this position.

Work Authorization

Legal authorization to work in the US is required, and Continental will not sponsor individuals for employment visas.
