Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Automation Systems Specialist to design, implement, and maintain automated systems at our Hoosier Tire plant in Plymouth, IN. The ideal candidate will have a passion for troubleshooting and repairing control systems, sensors, and robotics.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and execute equipment and building projects, including overhauls, upgrades, re-designs, and installations.
  2. Collaborate with the Plant Engineering department to coordinate schedules, labor, materials, and downtime requirements.
  3. Standardize components to equipment types by make, model, and distributor.
  4. Compose and maintain equipment files, support documents, machine control media/programs, BOM's, drawings, manuals, and updates to the CMM database.
  5. Perform various duties involving machine support and engineering design work.
  6. Provide training, mentoring, and instruction to maintenance personnel and junior Automation Technicians.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in a related field.
  • 5 Years Automation Experience.
  • Limited travel within the US is required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
