Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Child Health Specialist to join our team. This role will involve conducting thorough assessments, providing counseling interventions, and referring clients to external support services as needed.

About the Role:
This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a Child Health Specialist, you will work closely with medical professionals and community agencies to provide comprehensive care to clients. Your exceptional communication and rapport-building skills will enable you to engage effectively with clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of children with disabilities and barriers to employment;
  • Offer counseling intervention as needed, utilizing various psychological methodologies;
  • Refer clients to additional external support services to help address barriers;
  • Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of clients;

Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology with eligibility for registration with AHPRA;
  • Degree Qualifications in Social Work or Counselling and current, or eligibility to gain, membership with one of AASW / ACA / PACFA;
  • Knowledge of psychology assessment/intervention strategies;
  • Exceptional communication, rapport-building skills, and engagement;
  • Ability to provide a Police Clearance (within 6 months) and Work with Children's Check;
