As a Senior Pharmacy Technician Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to clinical trials, including the management of investigational medicinal products.

This means playing an active role in the South East London Integrated Care System (ICS), and in formal partnerships including the South East London Acute Provider Collaborative, provider partnerships with our local mental health trusts and borough-based boards of the ICS in Bexley, Greenwich and Lewisham. The trust is rated as 'good' or 'outstanding' in over three-quarters of the services inspected by the Care Quality Commission.

The pharmacy department at Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust (Queen Elizabeth Hospital/ University Hospital Lewisham) has a vacancy for a permanent, Senior Pharmacy Technician Lead to join our friendly pharmacy clinical trials and research-based team. The post holder will work closely with the Lead Pharmacist for Clinical Trials in the delivery of all pharmaceutical aspects of clinical trials, including coordinating and managing the service at a senior level.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical trials, excellent communication and organizational skills, and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Experience in hospital pharmacy and a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills (or equivalent) is essential. The role involves writing working procedures, temperature monitoring, dispensing, communicating with research teams, organizing and facilitating sponsor monitored visits, training and line management duties.
