Your role will involve working collaboratively with colleagues to drive down crime rates, reduce the fear of crime, and promote a sense of safety and security among Londoners. You'll have the opportunity to develop new skills, gain experience, and progress your career in a supportive and inclusive environment.

As a career-long learner, you'll have access to training and development opportunities, enabling you to stay up-to-date with the latest policing practices and technologies. You'll also have the chance to work in a variety of roles, from operational policing to specialist teams, and to develop your leadership skills.

With a competitive starting salary, discounted rail travel, and a generous pension scheme, you'll have the financial security to plan for your future. Plus, you'll have access to a range of benefits, including flexible working options, a comprehensive health and wellbeing service, and opportunities for career breaks and parental leave.

With a diverse range of roles, opportunities for career progression, and a supportive work environment, you'll find a fulfilling career as a Met Police Officer.

How to Apply:

There are two routes of entry: our Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) or our Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP). Both programmes offer a unique opportunity to learn and develop as a police officer, with the chance to gain a degree and develop skills for life.

Our PCDA programme is a three-year apprenticeship where you'll learn as you earn, gaining a BSc Hons degree in professional policing practice. You'll work on the front line, developing your skills and knowledge, and gaining a qualification that's highly regarded in the policing sector.

Our PCEP programme is a two-year programme that provides new recruits with a blend of classroom-based and operational learning. You'll gain practical experience, work with experienced officers, and develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment.

We invite you to explore our programmes and discover the opportunities available at the Met. With a range of entry routes, flexible working options, and a supportive work environment, you'll find a career that suits your needs and aspirations.
