Electrical Engineer Job Description

Bridges Electrical Engineers Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting the installation teams with planned and reactive fault diagnoses, commissioning, panel modification, and technical queries at site level.

You will work closely with various departments within the business and liaise with customers to ensure the successful delivery of projects. This role offers a challenging environment with varied exposure to different areas of the water industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the installation teams with planned and reactive fault diagnoses
  • Commissioning of various equipment relevant to the water industry
  • Panel modification and technical queries at site level
  • Liaise with customers and various departments within the business
Requirements:
  • ECS Gold card
  • CCNSG Safety Passport
  • Fitness to work medical
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
  • Willingness to learn and undertake occupational and Health and Safety training
  • Prepared to take responsibility for self and others
  • Able to work on own initiative and ability to give and take instruction
  • Completion of appropriate electrical qualification
Desirable:
  • EUSR
  • Knowledge of: Ethernet & industrial networks (ie Profibus, devicenet, etc)
  • VSD, soft start, star/delta, DOL starters
  • PLC & HMI/SCADA (programming not required)
