Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Maths graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant at a secondary school in the Stockport area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering Maths lessons, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students who require additional support, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher, contributing to the development of effective teaching strategies.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as Maths clubs or competitions, promoting a love of learning and encouraging students to excel in their studies.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills, ensuring the smooth delivery of lessons and activities.
