Job Title: Residential Team Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Team Leader to join our team at Devon County Council. As a key member of our Children's Home team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Residential Team Leader will be responsible for leading shifts, planning activities, and allocating staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents. You will work closely with parents, carers, and professional agencies to provide reports and attend meetings as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead shifts and plan activities to promote the well-being and development of our residents
  • Allocate staff to ensure effective care and support delivery
  • Provide supervision and guidance to Residential Support Workers
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and professional agencies to ensure seamless care and support
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans and policies
Requirements:
  • Ability to engage and build positive relationships with children and young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
  • Capacity to implement boundaries and promote positive behavior
